How is VenaSeal performed?
What are the advantages and limitations of VenaSeal?
VenaSeal is performed in-office and typically takes less than one hour. Under ultrasound guidance, the patented VenaSeal treatment catheter is inserted into the vein through a tiny incision, similar to endovenous ablation. Once the catheter is in position, small amounts of adhesive are injected into the vein and the catheter is pulled through the length of the vein.
The catheter is then removed from the body and the vein is “glued” shut by the adhesive.
